Glass plate negative of the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII (1841-1910) with his entouage in Rome, where the prince studied between January and June 1859. The group includes Major General Robert Bruce, Reverend CF Tarver, Dr TK Chambers and Captain GH Grey.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2922838.
