Glass plate negative of a full length double portrait of Louisa Gordon (b. 1829) and Eleanor Stanley (b. 1821) facing each other. Gordon stands on the right holding a handkercief and a hat in one hand, and looks towards the camera. Stanley stands on the left, and places one hand on Gordon's shoulder. There is a column, a window and drapery in the background.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2906644.
