Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of Princess Louise standing, facing to the left. She looks downwards at a book she holds in front of her with both hand. Sherests the spine of the book on top of a plinth beside her. A small posy of flowers can also be seen on the plinth.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2900341.
