Princess Helena (1846-1923)

Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of Princess Helena standing, facing three-quarters to the left. She turns her head towards the camera and gazes ahead. She places both hands on the pedestal of a plinth beside her. A striped shawl is placed over her right arm.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Prints from this negative extist in the Collection (e.g. RCINs 2900457 and 2900459).
