Lord Alfred Paget (1816-88)

1855

RCIN 2083781

Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of Lord Alfred Paget (1816-88) standing, facing towards the camera. He stands in front of a stone bench. He holds a piece of paper in his right hand. Photograph taken at Osborne House.

Paget was Chief Equerry and Clerk-Marshal for most of the period 1846-1874, and Clerk Marshal to 1888.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2906603.
