Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of Leopold I, King of the Belgians seated, facing three-quarters to the right. He holds a book in front of his body with both hands and gazes down at the book. He is seated at a small table.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2907576.
