Glass plate of a group portrait taken on the terrace at Osborne, Isle of Wight. The portrait includes, from right to left, Honourable Beatrice Byng (1826-84), Colonel Thomas Biddulph (1809-78), Colonel Honourable Dudley de Ros (1827-1907), an unknown female and male sitter and the Honourable Emily Cathcart (1834-1917).

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the collection, RCIN 2906656.
