9 - 9 Nov 1858

RCIN 2082470

Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of Albert Edward, Prince of Wales standing, facing towards the camera. He wears a military uniform with belt, sash over the shoulder, and Garter Star. He holds a plumed bicorne in his right hand and a sword in his left. A plinth has been placed beside him.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2915726.
