Manuscript copy of Prince Albert's speech at a meeting of the Society for the Abolition for Slavery, held at Exeter Hall on 1 June 1840. Written in Prince Albert's hand. This was Prince Albert's first public speech in the UK and is referenced in Queen Victoria's journal (see VIC/MAIN/QVJ (W) 1 June 1840 (Princess Beatrice's copies)).
