      An engraving after a design related to Raphael's tapestry cartoon of Christ's Charge to Peter (see RCIN 912945). Signed with engraver's name at lower left. Second state.

      It has been suggested that Diana's engraving may be based upon a drawing closely resembling one attributed to Raphael (c.1514-15) now in the Musée du Louvre, Paris (inv. no.3863), or upon a workshop copy of it now in the Uffizi, Florence (inv. no.1216 E). See RCINs 853047, 853053.
