    Photograph of the painting 'Florinda', c.1852, by Franz Xaver Winterhalter (1805-73). The painting depicts Florinda (in the centre, facing the viewer) surrounded by her female companions, preparing to bathe. In the middle ground, on the left, King Rodrigo hides in the bushes.
