Photograph of a half-length portrait of Duncan Forbes of Culloden (1685-1747) in an oval. The sitter is facing three-quarters to the left and gazing at the viewer. He wears the robes of the Lord President of the Court of Session and a curly, powdered wig.
At the time of the photograph, the painting was attributed to Allan Ramsay (1713-84) and was in the collection of Arthur Forbes, Esq. of Culloden (1819-1879), Culloden House, Inverness-shire.
